Professor Igor Burstyn concludes these findings after having observed 9,000 cases and measuring exemplary use of the vapor and contaminants of e-cigarettes in use. This is the first major study to confirm the proclaimed health benefits of e-cigarette use. The study was the first of its kind to be funded by The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives (CASAA) Research Fund.

E-Cigarette Study Has Major Implications for Smokers

What does this study mean for traditional cigarette smokers? Professor Igor Burstyn’s findings have major implications for smokers and local business owners alike. With a majorly funded research study to back up the previously proclaimed health claims by e-cigarette companies, cigarette smokers should feel confident switching over to a new, improved, and safer smoking alternative in the form of the electronic cigarettes.

One smoker commented, “With a major study providing substantial evidence that e-cigarette smoke is non-hazardous to bystanders; I will be switching over to an e-cig simply to provide a safer environment to my family and friends. It doesn’t hurt that I can smoke an e-cig indoors as well.
